What Is Monitor Resolution?

Screen resolution is the measurement of the number of pixels on a display. Monitor resolution tells us how many pixels the screen is capable of displaying.

What Is Resolution Measured In?

We typically give resolution in terms of the horizontal resolution X the vertical resolution. For example, 1920x1080 means that there are 1,920 pixels horizontally, and 1,080 pixels vertically.

How to Check Monitor Resolution

To find the resolution of your screen in Windows, go to Settings, then go under System to Display. Look for Display Resolution. In MacOS, click on the Apple Menu, then go to System Preferences. Next, click on Displays. By default, it is set to Default for Display.
